The United States establishes the first AI Education Institute for educators nationwide.

The American Federation of Teachers announced on the 8th that it will partner with Microsoft, the Open AI Research Center, and Anthropic to establish a nationwide Artificial Intelligence Education Institute in the fall of this year, providing free AI training and courses for teachers. The new institute will prioritize providing online and offline training for teacher members teaching from kindergarten to high school, with the goal of training 400,000 teachers and benefiting over 7.2 million students within 5 years. Training content will cover AI technology principles, safety and ethical standards, teaching design methods, etc.
