On July 9, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism held a routine press conference for the second quarter of 2025. Liu Nan, Deputy Director of the Comprehensive Law Enforcement and Supervision Bureau of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, stated at the meeting that they will conduct a full-process traceability investigation into cases involving forced shopping. They will conduct a joint investigation with relevant departments into the solicitation channels, tour registration process, itinerary involving shopping and optional activities, etc., in order to clarify the chain of interests. They will carry out simultaneous verification of upstream and downstream, and synchronize rectification of all links.
