European trade officials: The EU is working to urge the United States to lift tariffs as soon as possible and reach a "suspension" clause.

According to the Wisdom Financial APP, Bernd Lange, Chairman of the European Parliament's Trade Committee, stated on Wednesday that the European Union and the United States may soon reach a trade agreement, but it is still difficult to immediately obtain tariff reductions and commitments not to take new measures. Lange said, "I think there may be some possibility of reaching some kind of understanding in areas such as steel, cars, and of course some possible exceptions to tariff benchmarks." Lange is not a member of the EU negotiating team, but he remains in contact with relevant parties.
