Zhitong Finance APP learned that Waymo, a subsidiary of Google focused on fully autonomous driving, has brought its first fleet of self-driving taxis to the "Super Metropolis" of New York City this week. The taxis will collect city mapping and high-precision map data with a human safety driver present. Waymo is currently seeking approval to test its self-driving taxis in New York City.
