According to the flood control and drought relief headquarters of Xingwen County, on the 9th, from 19:00 on July 8th to 12:00 on July 9th, Xingwen County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province experienced a heavy rainfall weather process, affecting all 12 townships in the county, including one station with extremely heavy rainfall, 33 stations with heavy rainfall, and 2 stations with rainfall. The highest recorded rainfall occurred in Renmin Village, Gusing Town, with 253.3 mm. In addition to the strong rainfall in the upstream areas, the water levels of Gusing River, Jianshe River, Luopu River, Desheng River, and Yuxiu River in Xingwen County have all risen significantly, with the water level of Gusing River reaching its highest level since monitoring began, exceeding the warning water level by 0.46 meters. In response to the flood situation, Xingwen County has activated a level IV emergency response, quickly mobilizing manpower to fully implement monitoring and early warning, patrol and inspection, risk control, personnel evacuation and rescue measures, and as of now, 2024 people from 678 households have been evacuated to safety. Preliminarily verified, different areas in Xingwen County have experienced landslides, road interruptions, power damage, farmland destruction, etc. In one incident in Renmin Village, Gusing Town, one person has gone missing due to a landslide, and rescue efforts are underway.
