On July 8th, the National Health Commission issued a document stating that the Commission has recently learned that some medical institutions are conducting "cervical deep lymphatic duct/vein anastomosis surgery" to treat Alzheimer's disease. In order to further strengthen the clinical application management of medical technology, the Commission organized experts to evaluate this technology. The evaluation found that the technology is still in the early stages of clinical research exploration, and the indications and contraindications are not yet clear. There is a lack of high-quality evidence in evidence-based medicine to support its safety and effectiveness. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Administrative Measures for Clinical Application of Medical Technology", it has been decided to prohibit the use of "cervical deep lymphatic duct/vein anastomosis surgery" for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
