Yuan Da, the Secretary General of the National Development and Reform Commission, stated at the first press conference on "high-quality completion of the Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" held by the State Council Information Office on July 9 that from 2021 to 2024, the Chinese economy maintained a fast average growth rate of 5.5% per year, with domestic demand contributing an average of 86.4% to economic growth. Final consumption contributed an average of 56.2% to China's economic growth, increasing by 8.6 percentage points compared to the Thirteenth Five-Year Plan period.
