On July 8, 2021, the processing value-added tax exemption policy was first implemented in the Yangpu Bonded Port Area. Since the implementation of the processing value-added tax exemption policy four years ago, the scope of the policy has continued to expand, and the benefits have become more widespread. Currently, Hainan Province has a total of 122 processing value-added record-filing or pilot enterprises, covering industries from the initial grains, oils, jade, and meats sectors, to pharmaceuticals, jewelry, petrochemicals, and many other manufacturing industries, presenting a scene of "blossoming in multiple areas" for the industry. According to statistics from Haikou Customs, under the processing value-added tax exemption policy, the value of domestic sales of processed value-added goods in Hainan Free Trade Port totaled 10.03 billion yuan, with about 840 million yuan in taxes reduced or exempted. As one of the core tax policies of the Hainan Free Trade Port, the processing value-added tax exemption policy is continuously driving industrial expansion, structure optimization, and employment growth, serving as an important engine for the high-quality development of the economy in the Hainan Free Trade Port.
