The consumer discretionary ETF fell by 0.34%, the internet stock index ETF by 0.77%, and the financial ETF by 0.89%. In the energy sector of the S&P 500 index, DVN, Halliburton, APA, Occidental Petroleum Corporation, Hess Corporation, Baker Hughes, and Diamondback Energy each rose by at least 4.21%, with Diamondback Energy leading the way and ranking fifth among the Nasdaq 100 index components. EQT fell by 2.33% and Expand Energy by 2.38%.
