A 5.3-magnitude earthquake occurred in the Ica region of Peru, and the capital Lima felt the tremors.

According to a report from the Peruvian Institute of Geophysics, a magnitude 5.3 earthquake occurred in the Ica Province of Peru at 6:40 AM local time on July 8th. The epicenter was located 29 kilometers west of Pisco, with a depth of 53 kilometers. There are currently no reports of major damage. The capital, Lima, also felt the earthquake.
