Due to power supply issues, Sony has announced the suspension of sales of Xperia smartphones.
On July 8th, Sony announced that it has suspended the shipment and store sales of its latest smartphone Xperia 1 VII due to issues such as unexpected shutdowns, reboots, or inability to turn on in some models. Currently, Sony is investigating the cause of the power issues in the phones and advises users to back up all necessary data during this time. This unlocked version of the smartphone was just released last month with a retail price of 204,600 yen at Sony's official store. Last week, Japanese mobile carriers NTT Docomo and KDDI also announced the suspension of sales of Xperia 1 VII. Currently, Sony has suspended sales in countries and regions such as Japan and Singapore.
