At least 18 people have gone missing due to flooding in northern Nepal.

Police in Rasuwa district in northern Nepal said that at least 18 people are missing after flooding early on the 8th due to continuous rainfall in the district. Police officer Krishna Ditar told reporters that according to reports received by the police, the flooding at the Rasuwa border post caused at least 18 people to go missing, with most of them working at a land port at the time. The flood also washed away a bridge at the border post and carried away several electric cars parked inside the land port. Nepal has entered the rainy season. Every year during the rainy season, floods, landslides, and debris flows cause casualties and property damage in Nepal.
