National Bureau of Statistics: Explore the Path for Unleashing the Value of Data in Key Industry Sectors, Strengthen Infrastructure Construction

On July 4, 2025, the Global Digital Economy Conference Data Element Development Forum was held in Beijing. Shen Zhulin, member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the National Bureau of Statistics, attended and delivered a speech. Shen Zhulin stated that the National Bureau of Statistics adheres to the reform of market-oriented allocation of data elements as the main line, coordinating the construction of institutional rules, market ecology, market facilities, etc., activating the value of data elements. Next, the National Bureau of Statistics will further promote the construction of basic institutions, explore the path of releasing data value in key industries, strengthen infrastructure construction, and solidify the support for the development of the data market. It is hoped that Beijing will fully leverage its comprehensive advantages and provide more replicable and scalable experiences for the reform of market-oriented allocation of data elements.
