Stellantis (STLA.US) fell in pre-market trading as 1.2 million of its pickup trucks are facing a recall investigation by NHTSA.
According to the Zhitong Finance and Economics APP, due to concerns about potential issues with the brake transmission shift interlock system, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has initiated a recall investigation for approximately 1.2 million Ram pickup trucks under Stellantis (STLA.US). The regulatory agency pointed out that the affected vehicles may have a risk of unintended movement, which could result in the vehicle rolling away on its own. According to reports, the NHTSA has received six reports of deaths and injuries related to this issue through its early warning reporting system, as well as 14 owner complaints. Following this news, as of the time of writing, Stellantis's stock in the pre-market on Monday fell by over 4%.
