President Trump of the United States: I am saddened to see Elon Musk completely "derail" in the past five weeks, almost like a "train wreck." The Republican Party is a well-functioning "machine", having just passed the largest bill of its kind in American history. It is a great bill, but unfortunately for Elon, it abolishes the absurd electric car mandate a policy that previously attempted to force everyone to buy electric cars in a short period of time, a policy I strongly opposed from the beginning. Now people can freely purchase any vehicle they want: gasoline cars, high-performance hybrid cars, or new technology cars that may appear in the future there is no longer a requirement for electric cars. I have been advocating for this for two years, and honestly, when Elon unconditionally supported me, I asked him if he knew I would abolish the electric car mandate something I mentioned in every speech and conversation. He said it was not a problem at the time I was very surprised! I also believe that it is not appropriate for his close friend in the aerospace industry to be in charge of NASA when NASA plays an important role in Elon's business empire.
