Hebei: Ensure stable energy supply and reliable operation of electricity.

According to the forecast of the Hebei Provincial Meteorological Bureau, from June to August this year, the temperature in most areas will be 0.5-1 higher than normal, leading to a significant increase in electricity consumption. The operation and regulation of electricity face the challenges of ensuring safety, supply, absorption, and rapid switching. It is estimated that during the peak summer period, the maximum load during the tight evening peak in the southern network of Hebei Province will be 51.5 million kilowatts, an increase of 8.7% compared to the previous year; and the maximum load during the tight evening peak in the northern power grid of State Grid will be 31 million kilowatts, an increase of 9.4% compared to the previous year. In order to ensure the comprehensive energy supply, multiple departments in Hebei Province are cooperating and coordinating, planning in advance, strengthening analysis and judgment, scientifically dispatching, and promoting stable and secure electricity supply and operation during the peak summer season. Coal is the "ballast stone" of energy and power supply. This year, Hebei Province has fully utilized the "long-term electricity-coal contracts + local coal mines + coal storage bases + railway shipping stations" supply system to solidify the foundation of coal supply. Currently, key centralized power plants in the province have 9.07 million tons of coal in storage, with an average availability of 31 days, consistently maintained within the safe and reasonable range required by the country.
