Fujian and Guangdong provinces have initiated a level four emergency response for flood control and typhoon prevention.

Typhoon "Danas" number 4 of this year was generated in the early morning of July 5th. According to the meteorological department's prediction, "Danas" will gradually turn in a north-northeast direction, intensify, reach typhoon level strength, and approach the southwestern part of Taiwan Island to the northern coastal areas of Fujian Province. The Central Meteorological Observatory issued a typhoon yellow warning at 18:00 on the 5th. According to the "National Flood Control and Drought Relief Emergency Plan" and related regulations, the National Flood Control Headquarters initiated a level four emergency response for flood control and typhoon prevention in Fujian and Guangdong on July 5th, and sent a working group to Fujian to assist in guiding flood control and typhoon prevention work. The National Flood Control Headquarters office and the emergency management department organized a joint meeting on the 5th to analyze the development trend of rain, flood, and wind situation, conduct video dispatching with provinces such as Fujian and Guangdong, urge the detailed implementation of flood control and typhoon prevention responsibilities and measures, and fully ensure the safety of people's lives and property.
