The 2025 Railway Technology Innovation Alliance Work Conference was held in Beijing.

On July 4, 2025, the Railway Technology Innovation Alliance work meeting was held in Beijing. During the meeting, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, China Railway Group, and the Hong Kong MTR Corporation jointly signed an agreement to increase and expand the Railway Basic Research Joint Fund, further expanding the scale of the fund. This agreement enhances the depth and breadth of cooperation in railway science and technology between Hong Kong and mainland China. In the future, the alliance will reach out to more railway-related companies, universities, and research institutions, attracting multiple parties to participate in railway scientific research together, achieving cross-disciplinary, comprehensive, and multi-scenario collaboration to provide a broader platform for theoretical research and industrial application technology in the railway industry. The meeting decided to establish a standard internationalization working committee within the alliance, dedicated to promoting bilateral cooperation between China's railways and key countries in standards, nurturing international standardization talents, continuously enhancing China's railway international influence, discourse power, and alliance competitiveness, to make greater contributions to serving the high-quality construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative.
