Merchant's live broadcast of military ships entering and leaving port is being investigated.
The National Security Department announced a case: in order to promote seaside housing and tourism projects, a merchant conducted multiple live streaming activities on a short video platform. Due to lack of understanding of the sensitive information in the surrounding sea areas and weak awareness of confidentiality, the merchant used our key military sea areas as the backdrop for live streaming, and recorded in real time the situation of our key military ports. Within two and a half months, the merchant had conducted live broadcasts dozens of times, each lasting for several hours, which exposed the docking and movements of some warships. Upon receiving reports from the public, the local national security agency immediately took action, identifying the merchant involved, stopping the live streaming activities, and ordering the deletion of previous live streaming videos. The relevant personnel were also given legal sanctions. Afterwards, the national security agency, together with relevant departments, conducted a special inspection of security and confidentiality risks around the military port, ordering surrounding hotels, guesthouses, residences, and sea-view platforms facing the military port to prominently display warning signs such as "No filming or photography" and "No flying drones," fulfilling their obligation to remind and inform residents, tourists, and others, and timely eliminating major risks to military security.
