State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission: Gradually eliminate poor brand assets that do not match their main responsibilities, have a poor image, low value, and limited potential.
On July 4th, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council issued the "Opinions on Promoting the High-quality Development of Brand Building of Central Enterprises in the New Era", proposing to nurture high-quality brand assets in stages. Differentiated cultivation and refined management strategies will be formulated according to the different development stages and characteristics of sub-brands, strengthening resource input and cultivation efforts for core sub-brands. Combining brand strategy, brand architecture, brand asset assessment status, a mechanism for supplementing and exiting brand assets will be established, gradually phasing out poor brand assets that do not meet the main responsibilities, have a bad image, low value, and little potential through cancellation, transfer, sale, and other methods. Emphasis will be placed on inheriting and maintaining high-quality brand assets of merged and reorganized enterprises to form overall advantages.
