Zero One IoT founder Ma Jie: Since last year's transformation, revenue has grown rapidly and is expected to grow several times this year.
At the 11th Innovation Year of the 2025 Yabuli Chinese Entrepreneurs Forum, Ma Jie, co-founder of Zero One Thousand Things, told Sina Technology that Meta is crazily poaching high-paid employees overseas. On one hand, this is a huge recognition of the AI industry, but on the other hand, it is definitely not sustainable or common. He said that currently, the general situation is that the salaries of AI algorithm engineers are higher than other programmers, due to market supply and demand factors, but it will definitely return to normal. "Just like Andrew Ng said, AI won't take away your job, but the ones who can work with AI will. Being a programmer is a job that requires very fast learning, so don't be afraid. Every few years, new computer languages appear, but human thinking is becoming more mature, it is an accumulation. So whoever can learn more about AI faster will be the biggest beneficiary of the next wave of AI entering the industry," he said.
Regarding the personnel adjustments and strategic changes from last year to this year at Zero One Thousand Things, Ma Jie said that these changes are normal because the AI industry can change drastically in just a few months. "Everyone is changing rapidly, so we have some co-founders who made new choices, some because our business has adjusted and they, while excellent, are not suitable for the new changes. Others have seen a new direction, including some co-founders who have received investments from or co-invested with Innovation Works. I think this is all very normal," he said.
Additionally, regarding revenue expectations for this year, Ma Jie revealed that since the transformation of Zero One Thousand Things last year, revenue has grown rapidly, and this year's revenue is expected to be at least several times higher.
