Wang Yi meets with the Foreign Affairs Advisor of the German Chancellor

On July 4, 2025, local time, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with the Foreign Affairs Adviser to the German Chancellor, Schulte, in Berlin. Both sides expressed high importance to the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Germany, positively evaluated the increasingly mature and stable bilateral relationship, unanimously agreed to prepare for the next stage of high-level exchanges, make good use of government consultations, strategic dialogues, and other mechanisms, enhance strategic communication, deepen mutual understanding, promote the sustained, healthy, and stable development of China-Germany relations, handle differences with a constructive attitude, and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation. Wang Yi stated that China-Germany relations go beyond bilateral scope and hope that Germany will play a constructive role in the European Union, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of both parties, and jointly address challenges.
