Today, it was learned from the National Energy Administration that in recent days, many parts of China have been experiencing continuous high temperatures, leading to a rapid increase in electricity consumption. On July 4th, the national electricity load reached a historical high. Statistics show that on July 4th, the country's maximum power load reached 1.465 billion kilowatts, an increase of about 200 million kilowatts from the end of June and nearly 150 million kilowatts compared to the same period last year, setting a new record. In the East China power grid, the load reached 422 million kilowatts, with air conditioning accounting for about 37%. Since the beginning of summer, provinces such as Jiangsu, Shandong, Henan, Anhui, and Hubei have set new highs in power grid load 9 times. Due to the continuous high temperatures, it is predicted that the power grid load will remain high next week. The State Grid will fully utilize the resource allocation capability of the ultra-high voltage power grid, transmitting power across regions and provinces with a capacity exceeding 200 million kilowatts, to ensure reliable power supply.
