China and Ethiopia have substantively concluded the bilateral market access negotiations for Ethiopia's accession to the World Trade Organization.

From July 1st to 3rd, 2025, China and Ethiopia held bilateral market access negotiations in Addis Ababa on Ethiopia's accession to the World Trade Organization. The two sides reached consensus on all outstanding issues in the areas of goods trade and services trade, and agreed to substantially conclude the bilateral market access negotiations. The substantive conclusion of the China-Ethiopia bilateral market access negotiations will strongly promote Ethiopia's accession process to the World Trade Organization.
