A study in the UK has shown that a four-day work week may be beneficial for a company's profits.

The results of a new experiment in the UK show that switching to a four-day work week may be beneficial for business profitability. Over a period of six months from November of last year to April of this year, nearly 1000 employees from 17 companies and other organizations adopted a shorter work week while maintaining the same salary and workload. The UK initiative "Four Day Week Foundation," which organized the experiment, announced on Thursday that after the trial period, all 17 organizations decided to keep the shorter working hours. The benefits of the shorter work week were not only for the employees. Some organizations saw an increase in revenue compared to the same period last year, and there was also a decrease in sick days. According to a report compiled by the foundation in collaboration with the Boston College in the United States, the London software company Brand Pipe saw a revenue increase of nearly 130%.
