For the first time in two years, iPhone sales in China have increased in the current quarter, but the growth rate is lower than that of Huawei.
On July 4th, according to the latest report from research firm Counterpoint Research, it is expected that China's smartphone sales will achieve a slight year-on-year growth in the second quarter of 2025. Huawei is expected to grow by 12% year-on-year and become the sales champion in the Chinese market for that quarter. Meanwhile, Apple is expected to achieve an 8% year-on-year growth with the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models - this will be the first time Apple has achieved positive growth since the second quarter of 2023.
