Yesterday, the Shanghai Public Security Bureau held a press conference to introduce the situation regarding the crackdown on illegal activities related to medical insurance fraud. Among them, the Hongkou police destroyed a medical insurance fraud gang with a designated medical institution as the main criminal body. The gang was composed of employees from within the hospital and external pharmaceutical factories colluding with each other. In two years, they defrauded insurance over 50,000 times, with an amount involved exceeding 12 million yuan.
