According to data from Counterpoint Research, in the second quarter of this year, iPhone sales in China increased by 8% compared to the same period last year, marking the first growth for Apple in the Chinese market since the second quarter of 2023. Apple's sales have improved mainly due to discounts and promotions on its latest iPhone 16 on Chinese e-commerce platforms, as well as increased trade-in prices for some iPhones. Consumers have responded well, especially in the week leading up to the 618 shopping festival. Counterpoint reported that Huawei saw a 12% year-on-year increase in sales in the second quarter, making it the largest smartphone manufacturer in terms of market share in China, followed by Vivo, with Apple ranking third.
