On July 3, 2025, local time, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with German Foreign Minister Waldvoller in Berlin and jointly met with reporters and answered questions on the spot. Wang Yi said that some people are trying to undermine China-Europe relations, or to magnify specific issues, to generalize economic and trade issues into security issues, or to hold biases against China, wrapping themselves in a cocoon of false information. However, denying past achievements will obscure the direction of the future, and not respecting the efforts of predecessors will deny the present self. The trend of progress cannot be stopped, China-Europe relations will only continue to move forward, not stagnant, let alone regress. China's policy toward Europe remains stable and continuous. We support European integration, support European strategic autonomy, and support Europe becoming an important pole in a multi-polar world. Whether Europe is in prosperity or adversity, China's policy has never changed. Regardless of changes in the international and European situation, China's position remains consistent.
