The spokesperson of the North Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on July 3rd local time. The statement stated that the United States recently used the "Quad Security Dialogue" as an opportunity to once again engage in serious political provocation, denying North Korea's legitimate sovereignty and reiterating "denuclearization". The United States relies on a xenophobic minority group to interfere in the internal affairs of sovereign countries, incite factions to confront each other, and engage in hegemonic actions that destabilize international relations, which is a major factor hindering regional and global peace and security. The North Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns and opposes the United States' flagrant violation of North Korea's dignity and rights, as well as its hostile intentions towards North Korea, and expresses serious concerns about the negative consequences of this behavior. The statement also said that the United States is the destabilizing force in the Asia-Pacific region, including the Korean Peninsula, trying to unilaterally change the current situation through coercive means. North Korea will take practical self-defense measures to deal with various provocative military activities, such as multilateral military alliance strengthening activities threatening regional security, and blatantly aggressive joint military exercises. This is entirely within North Korea's inherent sovereignty. North Korea will never tolerate any attempt by the United States and its allies to unilaterally change the status of North Korea and the situation on the Korean Peninsula. In view of the increasingly blatant hostile policy towards North Korea by the United States, North Korea will continue its efforts to ensure peace in the region and the world.
