Trina Solar official: Policy combination injects strong impetus into supply-side reform of photovoltaic industry.
According to Securities Times, on July 3rd, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held a symposium for manufacturing companies in the photovoltaic industry. A representative from Longi Green Energy told Securities Times that currently the industry is going through a period of pain, and photovoltaic companies deeply understand the determination of policy makers to govern low-price competition and promote capacity optimization, creating structural opportunities for technology leading companies. Longi Green Energy will accelerate the commercialization of efficient products and break through the price crunch with differentiated technology. At the same time, they will actively respond to the construction of a "unified large market", strengthen the coordination of the industrial chain, and assist in the orderly clearance of outdated capacity. The representative stated that under the current industry-wide losses, after policy-driven supply-side clearance, the prices of the industrial chain are expected to stabilize and rise. Meanwhile, BC technology, as a representative of advanced capacity, has always been in short supply. After the clearance of outdated capacity in the industry, the share of high-quality capacity will accelerate. "The combination of policies injects a strong stimulant for supply-side reform in the photovoltaic industry, bringing three-fold benefits of price restoration, technology premium, and industry consolidation for high-quality photovoltaic companies."
