German electric car market differentiation: Tesla's sales in June in Germany halved, while BYD's sales tripled year-on-year.

Wisdom Financial APP learned that according to the latest data from the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), the German electric vehicle market in June 2025 showed a sharp contrast: although the overall new registration of electric passenger cars increased by 8.6% year-on-year, Tesla (TSLA.US) suffered a cliff-like decline. This American electric car giant sold only 1860 cars in Germany that month, a sharp decrease of 60% year-on-year, and the year-on-year decrease in cumulative sales for the first half of the year reached 58.2% to 8890 cars.
