The Ministry of Transportation has dispatched guidance to focus areas on implementing measures to prevent and respond to extreme weather conditions.

Leaders of the Ministry of Transport dispatched the transportation authorities of Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Liaoning, Shandong, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Yunnan and other provinces on the morning of July 3rd, as well as the maritime bureaus of Shandong and Liaoning, to emphasize and deploy measures for preventing and responding to extreme weather in the transportation system. They emphasized the need to strengthen inspections and patrols of high-risk sections, prevent delayed impacts of rainfall, intensify inspections of key facilities, increase patrol frequency, and improve the quality of inspections. They also stressed the importance of enhancing meteorological consultations and warning responses, promptly initiating flood prevention emergency responses and heavy rainfall defense responses, and ensuring that warning responses are quick and accurate. Additionally, they called for further improvement of hierarchical and categorized transportation control, enhancement of the "one road, three parties" work mechanism, and strengthened coordination with the public security transportation management departments. They emphasized the need to properly address heavy fog at sea, fully utilize technological means to monitor poor visibility, scientifically implement traffic organization and control, and strengthen inspections of ships. They also called for comprehensive optimization of emergency force prepositioning, close integration with the "one list" and disaster characteristics, and scientific configuration of emergency equipment and materials. They stressed the importance of fully implementing 24-hour duty requirements and promptly submitting information in accordance with regulations in case of sudden incidents.
