France fines SHEIN 40 million euros for product pricing and environmental labeling violations.

Today, the French DGCCRF announced a fine of 40 million euros for SHEIN's violations in terms of price indications and product environmental label descriptions in 2023. The department tracked thousands of products on its French website from October 2022 to August 2023. SHEIN stated that the company completed adjustments within two months after receiving the DGCCRF notification in March 2024, which had already been adjusted over a year ago, and that the company will continue to focus on transparency and compliance with market laws and regulations.
