On the 2nd, Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren questioned the 16 million dollar settlement reached between Paramount Global Corporation and US President Trump on the 1st, calling it "potentially naked bribery" and urging an investigation. Trump sued Paramount's subsidiary, CBS, last October, alleging that its "60 Minutes" program had deceptively edited an interview with then-Vice President and presidential candidate Kamala Harris in order to "tilt the scales towards the Democratic Party" in the election.
