The official WeChat message of the Xiamen Ocean Development Bureau recently announced the official issuance of several measures to accelerate the high-quality development of the marine economy and the development of emerging marine industries in Xiamen. It mentions the forward-looking development of deep-sea industries. It also mentions promoting the construction of a three-dimensional marine observation system integrating "space-based, sea-based, ship-based, seabed-based, and land-based" components, and the establishment of a modern marine information perception and transmission network system to promote the integration and development of smart marine engineering and marine industries. The measures also include support for the research and operation of deep-sea aquaculture equipment with a total capacity exceeding 250,000 tons, with subsidies not exceeding 30% of the actual construction costs. Furthermore, it encourages the development of marine information and digital industries such as marine communication, navigation, underwater robots, drones, and cross-domain aircraft. It also supports the construction of a comprehensive marine big data platform based on the marine Internet of Things. Lastly, it aims to promote the integration of the "marine + AI" industry.
