On July 2nd at 8:00 PM, a freight train of Jinwen Local Railway Company derailed a locomotive of a bus at the Dongxiao Station on the Shanghai-Kunming line. On the morning of the 3rd, the hotline of the Shanghai Railway Customer Service Center informed a reporter from the Southern Metropolis Daily that there is currently no compensation plan for passengers affected by the accident. Some netizens posted on social media that on the train K1373, due to a 3-hour stop causing lack of ventilation and overcrowding, a passenger used a safety hammer to break a window. Some netizens are concerned about whether the passenger should be compensated, to which the railway customer service stated that they need to verify the situation with the train staff before proceeding. According to the notice from the Jinwen Car Service Section of the Shanghai Railway Company, at around 8:28 PM on July 2nd, a freight train of Jinwen Local Railway Company stopped at Dongxiao Station in Dongxiao Township in Jinhua City on the Shanghai-Kunming line, intruding into the down main line and colliding with the locomotive of the K1373 passenger train passing by, causing the front carriage of the train to derail, with no casualties. At 11:27 PM, after emergency handling by the railway department, the K1373 passenger train stranded at the Dongxiao Station on the Shanghai-Kunming line resumed operation after changing locomotives. "As a result, some trains were delayed, and the railway department sincerely apologizes."
