Gallium nitride (GaN) chip manufacturer Navitas announced on July 3 that their 650V component products will gradually be outsourced to GlobalFoundries from their current supplier TSMC in the next 1 to 2 years. TSMC stated that after a comprehensive evaluation considering market factors and long-term business strategies, they have decided to gradually exit the gallium nitride business in the next 2 years. TSMC emphasized that this decision will not affect their previously announced financial targets. TSMC estimates that their USD revenue will grow by 24% to 26% this year.
