The index has been operating in the expansion zone for eight consecutive months, and the warehousing industry continues to perform well. The Warehousing Index for June was 51%, an increase of 0.5 percentage points from the previous month. Sub-indices such as new orders, average inventory turnover times, business profits, and business activity expectations have all shown improvement.
Specifically, the New Orders Index for June was 51.6%, an increase of 0.7 percentage points from the previous month, indicating a slight increase in the expansion zone and showing active warehousing demand with continued growth in new orders. In terms of different types of products, consumer goods warehousing demand showed more promising performance, especially with significant increases in the New Orders Index for food, household appliances, agricultural and sideline products.
Driven by the continuous growth in business demand, overall business profits for enterprises have also increased. The Business Profit Index returned to the expansion zone after five months, indicating an improvement in the overall business situation of warehousing enterprises compared to previous periods.
Overall, in the first half of this year, the Warehousing Index in China has been continuously operating in the expansion zone. The New Orders Index has maintained expansion for six consecutive months, with overall business demand showing stable growth. The Business Activity Expectation Index has consistently remained at a high level, with optimistic expectations from enterprises.
