Just a few hours before President Trump signed the "Big and Beautiful" bill into law on July 4th, Tesla CEO Musk once again conducted a survey among his 22.1 million followers on the establishment of a third party in the United States. The results showed that over 5.6 million accounts participated in the voting, with 80.4% choosing to support it. About a month before the fallout between Trump and Musk over the "Big and Beautiful" bill, Musk had initiated a poll on social platform X asking "Does America need a new political party that actually represents the interests of the 80% middle class?" Eighty percent of voters expressed support for the new party, named the "American Party." Musk also revealed the party's plans on July 4th: focusing on 2 or 3 Senate seats and 8 to 10 House districts, and making decisive votes on controversial laws. Supporters commented that if successful, this would completely change the game rules of American politics.
