In the week ending June 27, the commercial crude oil imports to the United States, excluding strategic reserves, were the highest since the week of December 27, 2024. The increase in EIA crude oil inventories recorded in the week ending June 27 was the largest since the week of March 28, 2025. The decrease in domestic crude oil production in the United States in the week ending June 27 was the largest since the week of May 2, 2025, ending a seven-week increasing trend.
In the week ending June 27, US crude oil exports decreased by 1.965 million barrels per day to 2.305 million barrels per day. Domestic crude oil production in the US decreased by 0.2 thousand barrels to 13.433 million barrels per day in the week ending June 27. Commercial crude oil inventories, excluding strategic reserves, increased by 3.845 million barrels to 419 million barrels, an increase of 0.93%. The four-week average supply of US crude oil products was 20.288 million barrels per day, a decrease of 1.12% compared to the same period last year. In the week ending June 27, US strategic petroleum reserve inventories increased by 239 thousand barrels to 402.8 million barrels, an increase of 0.06%. In the week ending June 27, US commercial crude oil imports, excluding strategic reserves, were 6.919 million barrels per day, an increase of 975 thousand barrels per day from the previous week.
