The Ministry of Natural Resources has initiated a level IV response to geological disasters in Sichuan.

According to the meteorological department forecast, there will be heavy rainfall in the central part of Sichuan province in the next three days. The Geological Disaster Technology Guidance Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources has assessed that the risk of geological disasters is high in some areas of central Sichuan. In accordance with the "Work Plan for Geological Disaster Defense Response" of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry has decided to activate a level IV response for geological disaster defense at 5:00 pm on July 2nd.
