Chen Shaorong, former deputy director of the Law Committee of the Standing Committee of the Guizhou Provincial People's Congress, has been expelled from the Party and removed from public office.
According to the Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, with the approval of the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee, the Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision has conducted a case review and investigation into the serious disciplinary and legal issues of Chen Shaorong, the former deputy director of the Legal Work Committee of the Standing Committee of the Guizhou Provincial People's Congress.
After investigation, it was found that Chen Shaorong had lost his ideals and beliefs, betrayed his original mission, had a distorted view of political achievements, made blind decisions on projects, was disloyal and dishonest to the Party, resisted organizational review; disregarded the spirit of the Central Eight-point Regulations, accepted tourism arrangements in violation of regulations; violated organizational principles, did not truthfully report personal matters, used his power to seek personnel benefits for others and receive money and gifts; lost his integrity, received gifts and money improperly, engaged in power-for-sex trades; ignored public interests, improperly allocated expenses; did not fulfill his work duties correctly, causing significant losses of state-owned funds; had no personal ethics; became greedy, engaged in power and money transactions, used his position and power to seek benefits for others in project contracting and job promotion, illegally accepting huge amounts of money.
Chen Shaorong seriously violated the Party's political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, mass discipline, work discipline, and life discipline, constituted serious official violations of law and is suspected of bribery crimes. He has not restrained himself or stopped his actions since the 18th Party Congress, his actions are serious and have a bad influence, and he should be dealt with seriously.
In accordance with relevant regulations such as the "Interpretation of Disciplinary Measures of the Communist Party of China", the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China", and the "Administrative Penalties for Public Officials of the People's Republic of China", after research by the Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Approval by the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee, it has been decided to expel Chen Shaorong from the Party; the Guizhou Provincial Supervisory Commission will give him a dismissal from public office; confiscate his illegally obtained assets; and transfer his suspected criminal acts to the procuratorial organs for inspection and prosecution in accordance with the law, along with transferring all involved properties.
