CAAC responds to why it issued an emergency notice regarding power banks.

Recently, the Civil Aviation Administration of China issued an urgent notice, starting from June 28, passengers are prohibited from carrying power banks without the 3C mark, those with unclear 3C marks, or models/batches that have been recalled on domestic flights. Why was this urgent notice issued? A responsible person from the relevant department of the Civil Aviation Administration of China said that this urgent notice was issued for multiple reasons: first, there have been multiple unsafe incidents worldwide in civil aviation this year caused by passengers carrying power banks. Second, the lithium batteries in power banks have inherent danger. Third, the quality of battery products varies.
