New York cocoa falls more than 7.3%, the world's second largest producer plans to slightly raise the price of cocoa beans.
In the closing hours of Tuesday in New York, ICE raw sugar futures rose by 1.42%, to 15.70 cents per pound, after opening higher at 16.21 cents and then falling back slightly. ICE white sugar futures fell by 2.37%. ICE Arabica coffee futures fell by 1.73% in light trading, while coffee "C" futures fell by 3.60%. Robusta coffee futures rose by 0.58%. New York cocoa futures fell by 7.32%, to $8341 per ton, significantly dropping between 17:00-18:00 Beijing time, with most of the day spent fluctuating at lower levels. London cocoa futures fell by 3.78%. ICE cotton futures fell by 0.25%.
