The China Meteorological Administration issued a yellow alert for heavy rain on June 24 at 18:00. It is expected that from 20:00 on June 24 to 20:00 on June 25, there will be heavy to torrential rain in parts of western Yunnan, northeastern and southern Sichuan, Chongqing, central and northern Guizhou, northern Hunan, and central-western Hubei. In particular, there will be locally heavy rain in eastern Chongqing, northwestern Hunan, and central-northern Guizhou. The above-mentioned areas will experience short periods of heavy rainfall and locally severe convective weather with thunderstorms and strong winds.
