"Multiple military bases in Iraq were attacked in the early hours of the 24th."
On June 24th local time, Sabah Numan, the spokesperson for the Iraqi Armed Forces Commander, issued a statement stating that between 2:15 am and 3:45 am on the 24th, a group of small suicide drones launched attacks on multiple military bases and facilities within Iraq. This resulted in severe damage to the radar systems at the "Taji Camp" airbase north of the capital Baghdad and the Imam Ali airbase in the southern Jikar province, but no casualties were reported. The statement said that the Iraqi security forces successfully thwarted attempted attacks on four other locations, intercepting and shooting down the drones. All targets were military facilities under the control of the Iraqi Armed Forces. In response to this serious attack, Iraqi Prime Minister and Armed Forces Commander Mustafa al-Kadhimi has ordered the establishment of a high-level technical and intelligence committee composed of representatives from Iraqi security agencies to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the attack, identify the perpetrators, and follow up on the investigation results.
