Li Qiang Meets with Kyrgyzstan Prime Minister Kasimov
Chinese Premier Li Keqiang met with Kyrgyz Prime Minister Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Tianjin on the afternoon of June 24th. Li pointed out that China is willing to strengthen strategic alignment with Kyrgyzstan, striving to reach a high-level agreement on service trade and investment as soon as possible. Both sides should solidly promote the construction of projects such as the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway, the China-Kyrgyzstan Friendship Bridge, and port renovation, creating highlights in cooperation in new areas such as clean energy, electric vehicles, artificial intelligence, and cross-border e-commerce. China is willing to closely cooperate with Kyrgyzstan in multilateral affairs, continuously improving and strengthening the China-Central Asia mechanism, and achieving more results in cooperation within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, jointly opposing unilateralism and protectionism, and firmly upholding free trade and the stability of the global supply chain. Tokayev expressed the willingness to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with China in trade, investment, finance, and connectivity, closely coordinating and cooperating in the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the China-Central Asia mechanism, opposing unilateralism and protectionism, and pushing the relationship between the two countries to a higher level.
