Zhengzhou's foreign trade delivers a strong performance record.

According to the Zhengzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, from January to May this year, the city's total import and export volume reached 228.57 billion yuan, accounting for 66.6% of the total in the province, an increase of 40.8% year-on-year. The growth rate ranked first among central cities, first among national central cities, and fourth among national capital cities, exceeding the national average by 38.3 percentage points. From January to May this year, the city's exports of electromechanical products and high-tech products reached 125.27 billion yuan and 100.77 billion yuan respectively, accounting for 78.7% and 63.3% of the city's total exports, with increases of 76.3% and 92.9% respectively. Among them, exports of computers and communication technology, mobile phones, and automobiles reached 99.11 billion yuan, 75.8 billion yuan, and 14.15 billion yuan respectively. The export growth of electric vehicles, audiovisual equipment, and their components was relatively large, reaching 10.72 billion yuan and 4.66 billion yuan respectively, with year-on-year increases of 243.6% and 36.4%.
