The Shanghai Science and Technology Commission has issued a notice on the approval of the project "Synthetic Biology" in the Key Technology R&D Plan for 2025. According to the "Notice of the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission on the release of the Key Technology R&D Plan for 2025 and the application guidelines for the "Synthetic Biology" project" (Shanghai Science and Technology Guide [2025] No. 8), after the procedures of application recommendation, formal review, expert evaluation, and project approval announcement, 18 projects including "High-throughput, high-precision, low-cost long-segment nucleic acid synthesis based on inkjet-printed microarray chips" have been approved for funding by the municipal Science and Technology Commission, with a total grant of 42 million yuan, including 32.1 million yuan to be allocated in 2025.
